National Acoustic Laboratories
Since 1947, research conducted by the National Acoustic Laboratories (NAL) into hearing has opened new ways in which people with hearing loss can be helped.
NAL leads the world in hearing research and evidence-based innovation to improve hearing health and transform the lives of people with hearing difficulties. Our research findings are published in leading peer-reviewed journals and are available to clinicians and other users of the research. NAL works with collaborators around the world on product development, product validation, customer discovery and insights analysis and create novel protocols to address the needs of the hearing industry. Several NAL inventions are taken up internationally and used worldwide.
We are lucky to have gathered a world-wide ecosystem of collaborators to help us on the journey to translate research into positive impact in the hearing community. NAL welcomes the opportunity created in the Australian Hearing Hub of being in close proximity with other members, further enhancing our collaborative activities.
NAL is the research division of Hearing Australia, a statutory body established under the Australian Hearing Services Act 1991.
