This is an audiology research story conducted by The Macquarie University Speech Clinic, Research Team.
The three researchers were looking for participants aged 65-80 with normal hearing to participate in a study on understanding speech in the presence of noise. Their study is aimed at understanding and improving speech perception in people with hearing difficulties.
Systemic racism significantly affects the health and well-being of priority populations including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Therefore system and structural levers must be identified along with institutions and organisations who can lead transformational social and political change.
