National Acoustic Laboratories
Since 1947, research conducted into hearing by the National Acoustic Laboratories (NAL), the research division of Hearing Australia, has opened new ways in which people with hearing loss can be helped.
NAL is a world leader in hearing research and evidence-based innovation to improve hearing health and transform the lives of people with hearing difficulties. Our research findings are published in leading peer-reviewed journals to make them available to everyone world-wide. NAL works with collaborators around the world on technology development, product validation, needs analysis, hearing loss insights, and novel clinical protocols to address the needs of the hearing loss sector. Several of NAL’s inventions are used worldwide.
We are lucky to have gathered a world-wide ecosystem of collaborators to help us on the journey to translate research into positive impact in the hearing loss community. NAL welcomes the opportunity as a member of the Australian Hearing Hub of being in close proximity with other organisations focused on helping people with hearing loss, further enhancing our collaborative activities.
