AHH end of year celebration
To celebrate the end of a successful year, the Australian Hearing Hub hosted an end-of-year celebration on 8 December.
The event brought together researchers, clinicians, educators, innovators, and students from the AHH community to connect and celebrate the year’s achievements.
The event provided the opportunity for senior leaders from each AHH member organisation, including MU Hearing Academic Director Professor David McAlpine, Cochlear CEO Dig Howitt, NextSense Chief Executive Chris Rehn, Hearing Australia Managing Director Kim Terrell, National Acoustic Laboratories Head of Strategy and Innovation Xiaoyin Shang, The Shepherd Centre Director of Fundraising and Marketing Nicola Norris, and Macquarie University Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Medicine and Health) Professor Patrick McNeil to share the highlights of 2022 and what to look forward to in 2023 and beyond.
Macquarie University Head of the Department of Linguistics Professor Catherine McMahon chaired the event.
“It’s an honour to be a part of a community that is dedicated to transforming hearing and communication,” she said.
“Together we have achieved some wonderful things this year, and I look forward to what we’ll accomplish next year with great anticipation.”
