Intervention systems
Research is lacking in the cost benefits of interventions in alleviating the burden of hearing loss in Australia.
- Evaluate the impact of interventions – encompassing hearing screening programs, hearing service delivery programs, early intervention programs and educational support programs – based on a broad range of outcomes, such as social, educational, psychological and economic.
- Investigate how interventions affect different populations such as remote, Indigenous communities, different language groups and groups with additional disabilities.
- Investigate the psychological factors that impact on the delivery, utilisation and adherence of interventions.
