An interdisciplinary team across Faculties was recently awarded the Macquarie University Research Infrastructure Scheme (Large). Led by Associate Professor Jorg Buchholz (Audiology – Department of Linguistics), we obtained $149,089 to install a multi-projector video reproduction system with an extensive 200° acoustically transparent screen inside the 3D speaker array in the anechoic chamber located within the Australian Hearing Hub.
The requested equipment will enable researchers, for the first time on campus, to fully immerse participants in a 3D audio-visual experience which will result in highly novel and impactful research output.
