Since 2020, the Hearing Health & Technology Matters (HHTM) Hearing Technology Innovator Awards™ have acknowledged technological innovation and accomplishments in the hearing industry.
This year’s program featured numerous innovative technologies submitted by companies from around the world across eight distinct categories.
NAL’s captioning app, NALscribe, won the Captioning Technology: Mobile Apps Category.
Nicky Chong-White, the project lead in developing NALscribe said, “This award is a validation of our team’s commitment to innovation and our drive to create technology that truly makes a difference. It’s gratifying to have our efforts recognised, further inspiring us to improve communication for individuals with hearing loss.”
Since the Awards program launched, it has helped to raise over $25,000 in support of hearing-related charities. This year, the proceeds have benefited organisations such as the Hearing Health Foundation, SoundWrx, and the Hearing Loss Association of America.
