Macquarie University hearing researcher, Professor Andrej Kral, has been recognised for his groundbreaking work to improve our understanding of brain adaptation to neuroprosthetic stimulation. Professor Kral received the Pioneer Award in Basic Research from the Association for Research in Otolaryngology (ARO) at its Midwinter Meeting in Anaheim at the beginning of February.
He is Chaired Professor of Auditory Neuroscience at the Medical University of Hanover and Adjunct Professor of Neuroscience and Cognition at the University of Texas, and joined Macquarie University Hearing as a Professor of Systems Neuroscience in 2018.
