Challenging misconceptions for World Hearing Day

More than 150 people attended a Macquarie University Hearing event on 4 March to celebrate World Hearing Day.

The theme of World Hearing Day 2024 was ‘Changing Mindsets’, with a focus on challenging stigmatising misconceptions by raising awareness and sharing information.

In celebration of World Hearing Day, Hearing Australia is hitting the road again this month to help more people across the country access hearing help through the Hearing the Nation Tour.

5000 PLUMs

NAL is analysing over 5000 Parent-evaluated Listening & Understanding Measure (PLUM) results for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. This will help to determine how good the PLUM is at predicting a child’s long term ear health.
